It was a joyous atmosphere when some select members of Constituency TV and Progressive Legislative Aides, Nigeria PLAN paid joint visit to the Honorable Member: representing Idemili North and South Federal Constituency, during the visit in his office at the National Assembly Complex, Abuja on Monday 11th.March, 2024; Honorable Okonkwo was honored and presented with an award as “The Dynamic Young Parliamentarian” 2023 by the Group.

Speaking at the occasion, the Founder of Constituency TV and Director General of Progressive Legislative Aides, Nigeria PLAN Comrade Kayode Lawal; described Honorable Okonkwo as an amiable young legislator with great vision and passion to succeed in his legislative agenda and engagement, while outlining some of his quick interventions and training of his constituents on solar energy within a short period of time as some of his key achievements that attracted the prestigious award.

Comrade Lawal stated that Honorable Okonkwo has followed the leadership foot prints of his late father: Distinguished Senator Annie Okonkwo whom he described as a trail blazer, both in politics and business world, who truly impacted so many lives and left enduring legacies.

Further in his remark, Comrade Lawal appealed to Honorable Okonkwo to feel free to consult widely with experienced members of Progressive Legislative Aides, Nigeria PLAN for any technical or advisory support on key legislative issues and promised to continue to appreciate his dedication and unwavering efforts in trying to uplift his constituents and by extension many others around him.

Honorable Uchenna Okonkwo in his appreciation remark and acceptance speech thanked the group for identifying him for such an honour, he promised to continue to put in his best efforts to live up to the yearnings and aspirations of his constituents by impacting on their lives through people’s oriented legislative inputs, consultations, empowerments and collaborations.

Honorable Okonkwo said that he has dedicated the award to his constituents and his late father, Senator Annie Okonkwo whom he described as a beacon of light and great role model, whose leadership insight has helped to shape his vision in life!

Highlights of the occasion was citation of an abridged profile of Honourable Okonkwo delivered by one of the Executives of the group, Mr George Ozalla, award presentation and group photographs.
