The Ichie Akubudike Foundation has called on Nigerians and Christians across the world to use the Easter season as a time for reflection, compassion and renewed commitment to serving others, particularly the vulnerable.
In an Easter message signed by its Founder and Chairman, High Chief Martin Nwabueze, the foundation said the resurrection of Jesus Christ remains central to the Christian faith, pointing to hope, renewal and the triumph of light over difficult moments.
The statement noted that while Easter is widely celebrated, its deeper meaning lies in the lessons it offers for daily living, especially in showing care, making sacrifices where necessary and standing by those in need. It added that the period calls for a conscious effort to look beyond personal comfort and respond to the realities faced by others within society.
Nwabueze said the foundation remains committed to its work among underserved communities, stressing that reaching out to the less privileged and offering support where it is most needed continues to guide its activities. He said such efforts, even when modest, have lasting impact on individuals and families.
He urged Nigerians to use the season to strengthen bonds within their communities, encourage one another and take practical steps that reflect concern for others. He added that small, deliberate actions carried out consistently can help ease hardship and build a stronger sense of shared responsibility.
The message also expressed hope that the Easter celebration would bring peace, calm and renewed strength to many homes, while encouraging citizens to remain mindful of the needs around them and act where they can.
