Hon. Beni Lar, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Langtang North and South Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections, has expressed deep appreciation to party leaders, stakeholders, and supporters following her emergence from the party’s primary election.
In an acceptance and thank you message, Lar said her emergence was anchored on unity, sacrifice, and collective decision-making within the APC family, describing the outcome as a reflection of trust placed in her by the constituency.
“With a heart full of gratitude and humility, I sincerely thank Almighty God and every stakeholder who made my emergence as the candidate of the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections possible,” she said.
She maintained that the victory was not personal, but a broader expression of the aspirations of the people of Langtang North and South, adding that it reflected unity, peace, and collective progress within the constituency.
Lar commended APC members across the constituency for what she described as a peaceful and transparent primary process, noting that the conduct of stakeholders demonstrated maturity and commitment to party cohesion.
She also acknowledged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing his leadership and the Renewed Hope agenda as a stabilising force within the party and a source of direction for members nationwide.
Lar extended appreciation to Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, for what she described as fairness, balance, and steady leadership during the political process. She also commended the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, for efforts aimed at strengthening internal party unity.
The APC candidate further recognised the contributions of local government leadership in Langtang North and South, including Hon. Pirfa Tyem and Hon. Nanfa Alhassan Nbin, alongside commissioners Hon. Joshua Ubandoma Laven and Rt. Hon. Joyce Ramnap, noting their support in ensuring a smooth process.
She also thanked party elders, youth groups, women associations, campaign teams, and supporters across Plateau State for their roles in her emergence.
In a personal note, Lar appreciated her family, particularly her mother, Prof. Mary Lar, describing her as a pillar of strength throughout the journey.
“To my beloved mother, Prof. Mary Lar, and my immediate family, I owe a debt of gratitude for their unwavering love and support,” she said.
Lar urged stakeholders to put aside differences and work together in the interest of the constituency, noting that the primary election should give way to collective effort ahead of 2027.
She said the focus now shifts to strengthening unity within the party and deepening engagement across communities in Langtang North and South Federal Constituency.
