NCAA Sensitises Lagos Staff on Health, Wellness and Healthcare Benefits

By George Ozalla

The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has organised a health sensitisation and wellness programme for staff at its Lagos Regional Office to promote healthy living, disease prevention, workplace safety and awareness of healthcare benefits available to employees.

The programme, held on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, followed a similar exercise conducted at the Authority’s Headquarters in Abuja in March 2026.

The Director-General of Civil Aviation, Capt. Chris Najomo, represented by the Regional Manager, NCAA Lagos Office, Mrs. Olubukola Teriba, emphasised the importance of staff wellbeing to productivity, workplace safety and effective service delivery.

He urged staff to participate actively in the programme and take advantage of the opportunity to learn practical ways of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, preventing illnesses and reducing workplace accidents and injuries.

In her remarks, the Director of Human Resources and Administration, Dr. (Mrs.) Anastasia Gbem, represented by the General Manager, Industrial Relations and Welfare, Mrs. Nkechi Ajose, outlined the objectives of the programme.

She explained that the programme was designed to improve staff awareness of available healthcare benefits, clarify HMO coverage, explain how to access medical services and provide an opportunity for staff to raise questions and address challenges relating to healthcare delivery.

Dr. Gbem appreciated the three HMOs, Avon, Veritas and Songhai, for their participation in the programme.
