The Sean and Tarra Ajayi Foundation is set to award scholarships to the top 20 students in Lagos on May 14, 2025. The scholarship aims to support Nigerian youth in achieving their future goals by providing financial assistance for school fees, books, and materials. The students will write an essay on the topic “How Education Benefits Nigerian Youth to Meet Future Goals.”
The Foundation believes in the power of education, stating that it is a vital tool for reducing family problems and poverty. By investing in education, they aim to empower Nigerian youth to break the cycle of poverty and create a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
The Foundation will pay school fees of ₦100,000 for each of the top 20 students, split into ₦50,000 for each of two terms. Additionally, they will provide further financial support for books and school materials. The Foundation has been supporting education for the past two years, focusing on assisting the less privileged. Its mission is to stimulate the economy and improve society at large.
The Foundation’s President and Founder, Sean Oluseun Ajayi, has urged Nigerians at home and in the diaspora to take personal responsibility for Nigeria’s development. He emphasized that no child should go hungry or be denied access to education. The Foundation currently supports 20 schools and 20 children, with plans to expand across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory in Nigeria, as well as across Africa.
HRH Queen Mother Amb. Amina Temitope Ajayi, popularly known as “Mama Diaspora,” a member of the Foundation’s board of directors, has called on Nigerians in the diaspora to contribute to the development of Nigeria. She emphasized the importance of giving back to communities and supporting education, stating, “There is goodness in helping people; this is a revolution. Let history remember us once upon a time.” She further appealed to diaspora families worldwide to contribute meaningfully to the well-being of Nigeria.
The Sean and Tarra Ajayi Foundation has been remarkably consistent in impacting lives and societies in Nigeria through its good-natured initiatives, including renovating some schools and drilling boreholes for clean and accessible water. By investing in education, the Foundation believes a crime-free society and a brighter future for Nigerian youth can be achieved, enabling them to solve national challenges.
