Pastor Umo Eno , a deeply rooted spiritual leader, believes that nothing just happens and that true success comes from God. This belief is evident in his commitment to seeking God’s guidance and protection, as seen in the 3-day prayer summit organized by the Akwa Ibom State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Fathers in Faith for Good Governance. The summit held at the International Christian Worship Centre, Uyo.
The summit, tagged “From glory to glory,” featured the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), PASTOR E. A. ADEBOYE , as the guest minister. Pastor Adeboye emphasized the importance of acknowledging God and committing our ways to Him. He encouraged Christians to pray always, especially when things are going well, before planning, while executing plans, and to be specific in their prayers. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” – Proverbs 3:5-6
The prayer summit was a necessary step towards ensuring a successful second year for Governor Umo Eno.
I know there exist folks who see prayer and any Religious act in leadership as time wasting and irrelevant. Some even make a mockery of these things, but life is deeper than the physical show we daily display. The Holy book in 2 Chronicles 26:5 talked about King Uzziah and the secret of his success
“And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper.”
Emphasis being that God made him to prosper. Pastor Umo Eno knows too well that the prosperity of his Administration in the past one year had been God.
The world is a dark place where leadership is daily facing unimaginable onslaughts and to lead without Spiritual guidance can be most devastating. The first year of Pastor Umo Eno was a success because he depended on God; it will be foolishness to attempt the second year depending on his wit.
As the Bible says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11 When you have a Governor who starts the year with prayers, the future is glorious and guaranteed, according to Pastor Adeboye.
The event featured prominent song ministers and pastors from within and outside the State, making it a truly impactful and spiritual experience.
Pastor Umo Eno’s commitment to spiritual leadership is a testament to his belief in the importance of seeking God’s guidance in all aspects of life.
As we journey through life, let us remember that our focus should be on seeking God’s kingdom and righteousness, and all other things will be added unto us. “Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” – Matthew 6:33
May we continue to rise above challenges and get closer to God’s Word, just as Pastor Umo Eno has demonstrated through his leadership.
