A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Enugu East Senatorial zone, Hon. Chief Chidi Okolo, has commended the Enugu State Governor Dr. Peter Mbah over the launch of the Enugu Security Trust Fund and his numerous transformation and developmental strides in the state since assumption of office on May 29, 2023. Speaking in an exclusive interview with journalists at the Government House, Enugu during the fundraising dinner of Enugu security trust fund, Chief Okolo said he was impressed with the developmental strides of the Governor Peter Mbah adminstration in Enugu State with the provision of people oriented projects across the 17 local government areas of the state. Chief Okolo, a veteran broadcaster and politician told journalists that the fundraising Security Trust Fund was a laudable achievement of Governor Peter Mbah, which according to him, will tackle the insecurity challenges in Enugu State. He also commended Mbah for ending the Monday sit-at-home order declared by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB in the state. The fundraising event which was attended by the billionaire Oranto Petroleum International Group Chairmen, Prince Arthur Eze(Ozoigbondu) raised over N3 billion with the state government targeting N20bn.
