The honorable member representing Idemili North and South Federal Constituency, Hon. Uchenna Harris Okonkwo, was yesterday, March 11, 2025, conferred with the honorific title of Integrity Icon of Nigeria by the Centre for Ethics and Self-Value Orientation.
In a letter personally signed by the Executive Director of the Centre, Prince Salih Musa Yakubu, the organization expressed confidence in Hon. Okonkwo’s ethical leadership. Part of the letter reads: “In recognition of your commitment to community and humanitarian service, integrity, national interest, due process compliance, innovativeness, emotional intelligence, participatory management style, quality motions and bills, functional constituency office, active participation in the House proceedings, office and committee attendance, transparent and accountable leadership, and ethical uprightness as a member of the Nigerian Parliament.”
Prince Salih Musa further noted that Hon. Okonkwo is among the top 50 highly rated and most ethically responsible members of the 10th Federal House of Representatives in Nigeria for the 2024/2025 session.
Hon. Uchenna Harris Okonkwo expressed his gratitude to the Executive Director and management of the Centre for Ethics and Self-Value Orientation for their confidence in him and for conferring the award. He assured them of his unwavering commitment to due process and delivering the dividends of democracy to his constituency.
