Since taking office, Prof. Lilian Orogbu (Ada Dị Ebube) has exemplified outstanding legislative leadership, addressing critical needs in her constituency. Her efforts to enhance security include the ongoing construction of a police station in Isiagu and the installation of solar streetlights across 20 communities in Awka North and South, improving safety and visibility. In infrastructure, she has facilitated the construction of key roads, such as the access road to Holy Family Youth Village, Ezinkwa Mgbakwu Road, and Ogechukwu Street, significantly boosting connectivity.
Prof. Orogbu has also prioritized education and empowerment, reconstructing classroom blocks in schools like Ezi-Awka Community Secondary School and Community Secondary School Mbaukwu, while distributing instructional materials to enhance learning. Her human capacity development initiatives have empowered widows with tools, trained hundreds in agriculture, and equipped youths with ICT skills through laptop distributions. Additionally, she has supported indigent students by paying JAMB fees and offering scholarships to top-performing students.
Her economic and agricultural interventions have revitalized livelihoods, providing grants to petty traders, distributing thousands of bags of rice, and sponsoring free fuel for commercial drivers. In agriculture, she has distributed fertilizers and 11,000 palm seedlings to farmers across 20 communities. Prof. Orogbu’s achievements reflect her unwavering dedication to improving lives and setting a benchmark for impactful governance.
