The BBC’s decision to discontinue its flagship program “Hard Talk” has sparked widespread concern, with many believing the program’s cancellation will create a significant void in global media broadcasting.
Frank Tietie, Esq., Executive Director of Citizens Advocacy for Social & Economic Rights (CASER) and Arise News (Legal) Analyst, has called on Arise News Prime Time to fill the gap left by “Hard Talk”. Tietie believes that Arise News Prime Time, with its uniquely engaging presentation, can continue the tradition of in-depth, objective journalism that “Hard Talk” embodied.
The cancellation of “Hard Talk” has raised concerns about the future of serious, long-form journalism, particularly in a media landscape increasingly dominated by social media and breaking news. Tietie, a Nigerian lawyer and media analyst, believes that Arise News Prime Time has the potential to fill this gap and continue the tradition of quality journalism.
“The management’s decision to discontinue ‘Hard Talk’ leaves a significant gap in global media broadcasting that I firmly believe Arise News Prime Time can fill with its uniquely engaging presentation,” Tietie said.
