Not every need is your emergency. A lack of planning on someone else’s part does not automatically become your emergency—especially when they only remember you when they need something. We must be wise in recognizing when we’re genuinely being valued, and when we’re simply being used.
It’s okay to help, but do so only when your heart is at peace with it, not out of pressure or guilt. God created each of us uniquely, with different opportunities and capacities. That includes the wisdom to set healthy boundaries and to use our time, energy, and resources purposefully.
Choose peace. Choose discernment. Choose self-respect.
