The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Seme Area Command, has paid courtesy visits to the Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland, Gani Adams, and the editorial headquarters of The Guardian Newspaper in Lagos. The visits, led by Customs Area Controller Comptroller Ben Oramalugo, aim to build partnerships and strengthen national security.
During the visit to the Aare’s residence, Oramalugo sought Adams’ support in enhancing security and trade facilitation at the Seme border. Adams commended the Customs Service’s reform efforts and pledged to promote synergy between his institution and the NCS.
At The Guardian Newspaper headquarters, Oramalugo highlighted the agency’s successes under the leadership of Comptroller General Adewale Adeniyi and sought the newspaper’s support in projecting its positive strides. The newspaper’s Weekend Editor, Dr. Kabir Garba, assured the CAC of his support in spotlighting Customs’ successes.
The visits demonstrate the NCS’s commitment to stakeholder engagement and collaboration in enhancing national security and revenue generation.
