The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has resolved technical issues affecting the transmission of Product Certificates for Form M and SONCAP required for PAAR processing on the B’Odogwu platform. The issues arose from system integration challenges following the onboarding of the Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON) on July 23, 2025.
The NCS acknowledges that the disruption caused delays and difficulties for importers and licensed customs agents in capturing their Form M, PAAR, and Single Goods Declaration (SGD). Specific challenges included limited space for trader names, incorrect data formatting, and difficulties linking the Tax Identification Number (TIN) to traders’ profiles.
However, as of August 6, 2025, both agencies have successfully resolved the transmission issues, and Product Certificates and SONCAP documents are now being transmitted seamlessly. The NCS has also rolled out nationwide implementation of the B’Odogwu platform, with trained officers providing hands-on technical assistance to traders and licensed agents.
The NCS remains committed to transparency, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement, with regular training sessions ongoing across various commands to build user capacity and resolve operational challenges.
