The Women’s Rights Advancement and Protection Alternative (WRAPA) and the African Centre for Leadership, Strategy & Development (Centre LSD) are set to host a public presentation of policy briefs and a memorandum aimed at improving Nigeria’s electoral process. The event, scheduled for Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 10:00 am WAT via Zoom, is part of the Civic Space, Poverty and Elections (CISPEN) project, supported by the MacArthur Foundation.
The documents to be presented include two policy briefs on protecting civic space and improving electoral credibility in Nigeria, and a memorandum for constitutional alteration to enhance trust in INEC leadership selection. According to Mr. Itia Otabor, Director of Strategy at Centre LSD, these documents address critical issues impacting Nigeria’s democracy and citizens’ well-being.
