The Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), DIG Hashimu Argungu (Rtd), mni, has congratulated newly trained Police Constables who are passing out from various Police Colleges across the country, describing the event as a proud moment for both Nigeria and the Nigeria Police Force.
Argungu, in a goodwill message issued on Tuesday, commended the Constables for successfully completing their training, noting that the PSC, constitutionally empowered to recruit into the Force, was proud to have overseen their admission into the noble profession of policing.
He reminded the new officers that the Commission would continue to monitor their conduct and performance, urging them to quickly settle into their responsibilities and contribute meaningfully to national security efforts.
The PSC Chairman charged the recruits to play active roles in combating terrorism, curbing banditry, and strengthening public trust in the Police. He stressed that professionalism, discipline, and respect for human rights must remain the bedrock of their service.
Argungu also assured them of the Commission’s commitment to their career progression and capacity development, emphasizing that the nation is counting on them to protect lives and property, uphold justice, and defend Nigeria’s integrity.
“Today marks the beginning of your noble career in service to your fatherland. I urge you to serve with honour, courage, and patriotism. Your success will bring pride to your families, the Police Force, and our great nation,” he declared.
