A continuous stream of visitors from especially across Northern Nigeria and beyond has been paying homage to the former Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (rtd), at his Abuja residence, in what many described as an outpouring of appreciation and solidarity.
According to eyewitnesses, the retired military chief’s residence has become a beehive of activity as traditional rulers, political associates, community leaders, and youth groups arrived in large numbers to celebrate and express admiration for his years of dedicated service to the nation. The mood was reportedly filled with goodwill messages, tributes, and heartfelt prayers from well-wishers who commended General Musa for his unwavering patriotism, courage, and contributions to national security and unity.
Visitors took turns to laud his distinguished military career and his commitment to peace and stability across Nigeria, especially during his tenure as Chief of Defence Staff, describing him as a disciplined officer who served with honour and humility. Many expressed optimism that his experience and integrity would continue to inspire younger generations and contribute meaningfully to national development even after active service.
The steady stream of visitors underscores the depth of respect and admiration General Musa continues to command across the region and beyond, reflecting the enduring impact of his leadership within and outside the Armed Forces.
General Christopher Gwabin Musa, who retired recently as Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff, is widely regarded as one of the most respected military officers of our time having led the Armed Forces with distinction in the fight against insurgency and other security challenges during his tenure, he is fair and firm and a core professional soldier who also loves farming.
