The immediate past Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (OFR), on Friday received a delegation from the National Online Media Forum (NOMF) at his residence in Abuja.
The team, led by the Forum’s National President, Umar Lawal Funtua, who also serves as Assistant Managing Director of Reality News TV, Katsina, included the National Secretary, Mr. Blessing Afolayan, and Dr. Musa Muhammad Yar’adua, Deputy National President of the Gamji Members Association.
The courtesy visit was aimed at congratulating General Musa for his exemplary and patriotic service to the nation, describing him as a nationalist and a man of integrity who served with commitment and transparency.
In his remarks, Funtua commended General Musa’s leadership and sacrifices, saying Nigeria’s history would not forget his role in strengthening national stability and security.
Responding, General Musa expressed gratitude to the Forum for the recognition and lauded their continued efforts in advancing responsible journalism and promoting national unity.
It will be recalled that General Christopher Gwabin Musa bowed out of service on Friday, 31st October 2025, after a meritorious career spanning nearly four decades in the Nigerian Armed Forces. The colourful pulling-out parade was held at the Mogadishu Cantonment in Abuja.
