President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Brigadier General Musa Uba, describing his death as a painful national loss and a stark reminder of the dangers faced daily by members of the Armed Forces. In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President said he was deeply saddened by the killing of senior military officers and soldiers who were on active duty when armed groups launched the attack.
The President prayed for the repose of the souls of Brigadier General Uba and the other fallen personnel, noting that the country owes them a debt of gratitude for their courage and sacrifice in the line of duty. He assured their families that the federal government stands with them in this moment of grief.
President Tinubu further directed the Vice President, Kashim Shettima, to visit Kebbi State to commiserate with the government, families and community members affected by the recent abduction of schoolgirls, calling for stronger cooperation between citizens and security agencies to confront criminal activities.
Brigadier General Musa Uba, a respected senior officer of the Nigerian Army, was reported killed while responding to a security threat alongside other personnel. His death has drawn wide condemnation and renewed calls for more robust strategies to tackle violent groups across the country.
