A true leader, it is often said, is the one who steps forward when others prefer to stand aside. That line fits Comrade Eze Onyebuchi Chukwu (Delaw) perfectly because his story is rooted in service, sacrifice and a lifelong commitment to lifting communities that many politicians only remember during election season. From his earliest days as a youth leader and community organiser in Abuja to his growth into one of the most trusted grassroots mobilisers in the FCT, Chukwu has built a reputation anchored on integrity, competence and the courage to say the truth whether convenient or not.
His journey has never been about power for its own sake. It has always been about people. Those who know him closely will tell you how he spends more time in neighbourhoods, markets and satellite communities than in political offices. They will also tell you how he listens, how he solves problems without noise, how he brings people together across tribes and party lines and how he has earned the respect of youths, elders, workers and small business owners who see him as one of their own. This is the type of leadership Abuja Municipal Area Council needs in 2026.
As the February 2026 FCT Council elections draw near, the stakes in AMAC are too high for guesswork. Residents are tired of abandoned projects, tired of leaders who make promises and disappear, tired of inaccessible offices, tired of watching public resources wasted on frivolities and white elephant projects while communities struggle with basic amenities. What AMAC needs now is a chairman who understands the terrain, who feels the pains of the people, who has the energy to work and the honesty to serve. That individual is Comrade Eze Onyebuchi Chukwu, the APGA AMAC chairman candidate whose track record speaks louder than any campaign slogan.
The All Progressives Grand Alliance has presented a candidate with a clear vision for a cleaner, safer, more organised and more inclusive Abuja Municipal Area Council; a council where infrastructure development is planned, not improvised; where revenue is accounted for, not pocketed; where youth empowerment is deliberate, not used as political pepper soup; where every ward receives equal attention and every resident feels seen and heard. Chukwu’s blueprint for AMAC is built on practical steps, not empty rhetoric. He has reiterated that he is committed to resetting council governance by prioritizing security and social welfare reform, modernized governance, transparent budgeting, modern community health initiatives, skills acquisition, education and a renewed partnership between the council and residents.
Alongside him stands Hon. Hussaini Jibrin, his running mate and a calm, capable and respected grassroots figure in his own right. His inclusion on the ticket reflects a balanced partnership built on shared values, shared purpose and shared commitment to serving the people without discrimination. Together, they present a credible and unifying team that understands the ground realities of AMAC’s diverse communities.
Comrade Chukwu signifies a new breed of leadership that is bold, humble, tested and ready to serve with his whole heart and might. He is not coming to experiment, he is coming to deliver, having seasoned himself for the job ahead. Those who have followed his phased empowerment initiatives and activism and service in the FCT know that he has never compromised on the values he stands for. He is the dependable candidate who can restore trust between the council and the people, rebuild broken systems and return AMAC to the path of responsible governance.
The 2026 election is not just about choosing a chairman. It is about choosing the direction of AMAC’s future. It is not about tribal agenda. It is about the people’s agenda. Residents now have a clear choice; continue with the old pattern or embrace a fresh, competent and people-driven leadership. Supporting Comrade Eze Onyebuchi Chukwu and Hon. Hussaini Jibrin under the platform of APGA in all ramifications means choosing progress over excuses, accountability over neglect, service over arrogance and results over empty talk.
For a council that deserves better and a people who have waited long enough, the message is clear. The candidates to wholly support, canvass for and vote for in February 2026 are Comrade Eze Onyebuchi Chukwu and Hon. Hussaini Jibrin. Let the message sink. Our collective decision time is now.
