Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces following a courtesy visit by the Honourable Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (Rtd), at the Government House in Kaduna.
According to a statement signed by the Governor, the visit provided an opportunity to congratulate the Defence Minister on his appointment and to restate Kaduna State’s readiness to work closely with federal security authorities in pursuit of shared responsibilities centred on protecting lives and securing communities across the state.
The statement said discussions during the meeting focused on consolidating ongoing security operations, improving intelligence sharing and coordination, and enhancing support systems for security personnel operating within Kaduna State. Governor Sani reiterated that the safety and welfare of residents remain the foremost priority of his administration, stressing that partnerships with federal security institutions would be intensified to sustain peace and stability.
According to the Governor, the engagement was described as forward-looking, with both parties expressing a common resolve to adopt more responsive and coordinated approaches to security management in the state, particularly in addressing emerging threats and maintaining public confidence.
Governor Sani also expressed appreciation for the Defence Minister’s commendation of the Kaduna State Government and its people, noting that residents have consistently shown cooperation and solidarity with security agencies during periods of security challenges and progress.
The statement further noted that the Governor expressed confidence that under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Nigeria’s defence and security framework would continue to strengthen, translating into improved peace, resilience and development for Kaduna State and the country at large.
The visit forms part of ongoing engagements between the Kaduna State Government and federal authorities aimed at reinforcing security architecture and sustaining collaborative efforts to address security concerns in the region.
