The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission has appointed Mrs Temilade Aderemi Okesanjo as Resident Consultant, Strategy and Communications, as part of efforts to strengthen institutional alignment, organisational effectiveness and public engagement across the Commission’s operations.
The appointment marks the first time strategy has been formally incorporated into a resident consultant portfolio at the Commission, expanding its approach to prevention, institutional integrity and impact-driven governance.
Okesanjo brings over 16 years of combined experience across the public and private sectors. She began her career in the financial services industry at Ecobank Nigeria before moving into public service, where she worked with the Federal Ministry of Transportation and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. She resigned from the civil service in 2018 to establish Woodford Consulting Company, where she has since led high-level strategy and implementation advisory engagements.
In her new role, the resident consultant will support the Commission in two key areas, ensuring that its priorities, engagements and interventions are deliberate, coherent and aligned with its statutory mandate, while also strengthening communications to ensure that these priorities are clearly articulated and responsibly conveyed to stakeholders and the general public.
She has advised at senior levels of governance in Nigeria, including the Presidency, federal ministries, departments and agencies, as well as international organisations, with a focus on policy implementation, institutional reform and public sector governance.
The Commission said the appointment is aimed at deepening the integration of strategy into its operations to enhance internal coherence, reinforce preventive efforts and ensure that institutional actions deliver measurable and sustainable impact.
The appointment takes immediate effect.
The ICPC is Nigeria’s statutory anti-corruption agency mandated to prevent, investigate and prosecute corruption and related offences in the public sector, with an increasing focus on preventive systems, institutional reforms and public accountability.
