Akpabio Hails Peaceful APC Congress in Akwa Ibom, Commends Governor Eno

Senator Godswill Akpabio has praised the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwa Ibom State for holding a peaceful and orderly state congress. The event took place today inside the main bowl of the Uyo Township Stadium, where new state officers were elected and sworn in entirely by consensus.
Akpabio described the exercise as a model of unity and political maturity. He commended Governor Pastor Umo Eno for creating the right atmosphere that allowed the congress to proceed smoothly. He noted that broad consultation and inclusive governance were key to the emergence of the new executive committee, fully in line with the party constitution.
Governor Eno thanked Akpabio for attending and lending support. He said the success of the congress reflected a wider commitment to harmony across the state and highlighted the role of consultation in ensuring that all voices were heard.
Obong Stephen Ntukekpo was confirmed as State Chairman, while other key officers were also sworn in to steer the party’s affairs in Akwa Ibom. Party members pledged their support to the leadership and celebrated the unity displayed at the event. Observers noted that even old political rivals reconciled, making the congress a true display of collaboration.
