Engineer Johnbosco Onunkwo has been appointed and inaugurated as the South East Zonal Coordinator of the pro-Tinubu support group, Relax Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria (RTIFN), in a move seen as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen grassroots mobilization ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The inauguration took place in Abuja during a strategic meeting of the group convened by its Founder-in-Chief, Barrister Seyi Tinubu, where members reviewed political developments and discussed strategies aimed at supporting the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
During the meeting, members of the group reflected on the performance of the administration under the Renewed Hope Agenda, noting that several policies and programmes introduced by the federal government are gradually impacting different sectors of the economy and public life. The group observed that the reforms and policy direction of the administration have helped shape their advocacy efforts across the country.
Addressing members, Seyi Tinubu urged the leadership and coordinators of the group to deepen grassroots engagement by taking the message of the Renewed Hope Agenda to communities across the country. He stressed the importance of ensuring that citizens remain adequately informed about the policies, reforms and developmental initiatives being implemented by the administration.
While presenting the appointment letter to Onunkwo, Tinubu congratulated him on his emergence and expressed confidence in his capacity to strengthen the organisation’s activities across the South East zone. He described the new zonal coordinator as a committed party loyalist with extensive experience in grassroots mobilisation and political engagement.
He also called on members of the organisation to remain united and focused in building a broad national movement capable of supporting government policies that promote economic growth, youth empowerment and national development.
The Director General of RTIFN, Ambassador Ahmed Bala, also reaffirmed the group’s commitment to expanding its mobilisation activities nationwide. He assured the founder of the organisation that members across the various states of the federation would intensify programmes and initiatives aimed at consolidating public support for the administration and its policies.
Bala emphasized that the appointment of Onunkwo reflects the group’s confidence in his leadership qualities and his ability to connect with grassroots communities across the South East. He noted that the organisation remains committed to promoting good governance while supporting the policy direction of the federal government through advocacy, public enlightenment and political mobilisation.
According to him, the vision of the Relax Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria group is to build a strong grassroots-driven movement that will promote awareness about government reforms while encouraging citizens to actively participate in national development.
He further explained that the organisation would continue to engage community leaders, youth groups, women organisations and other stakeholders through awareness campaigns, empowerment initiatives and strategic outreach programmes designed to communicate government achievements at the grassroots level.

Onunkwo, a respected engineer, philanthropist and long-standing member of the All Progressives Congress in the South East, is widely known for his involvement in grassroots political mobilisation within the region.
In his acceptance remarks, the newly inaugurated zonal coordinator expressed appreciation for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to work with members across the five states of the South East to strengthen the activities of the group. He assured the leadership that the regional structure would intensify efforts to promote the policies and programmes of the Tinubu administration while expanding political engagement across communities in the zone.
His appointment has drawn commendation from several party stakeholders in the region, many of whom described the decision as strategic in view of his long association with the party and his experience in political mobilisation.
Political observers note that his leadership of the RTIFN South East structure is expected to play a key role in galvanising support for the administration and strengthening the presence of the All Progressives Congress across Abia, Anambra, Enugu, Imo and Ebonyi states.
The strategic meeting ended with a renewed commitment by members of the organisation to expand their structures nationwide while intensifying mobilisation activities aimed at supporting the re-election bid of President Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
