Governor Soludo Appoints Chiamaka Nnake as Anambra SSG

Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has approved the appointment of Mrs Chiamaka Nnake as the new Secretary to the Government of Anambra State.
The appointment, announced in a statement signed by the Governor’s Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, positions Nnake at the centre of policy coordination and administrative oversight in the state government.
Nnake, an MBA holder and Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, hails from Nawfia in Njikoka Local Government Area of the state and brings over 13 years of experience across finance, strategy, and economic planning.
She most recently served as Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning in Anambra State, where she was responsible for coordinating the mobilisation, planning, and allocation of government resources to drive socio-economic development. She also served as Chairman of Solution Fun City Limited.
During her time in government, she held key leadership roles across several strategic agencies and boards, including the Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency, the Internal Revenue Service Board, and the Small Business Agency. She also functioned as the state’s Reform Champion for Ease of Doing Business and focal point for Social Investment Programmes, while serving as Nigeria Chairperson for the Human Capital Opportunities for Prosperity and Equity programme.
Before joining public service, Nnake worked as a Senior Strategy Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers Nigeria, where she led more than 30 engagements across local and international markets, covering sectors such as financial services, agriculture, and the public sector. Her performance earned her the firm’s Chief Executive Officer Award in 2021.
She was also involved in the development of Anambra Vision 2070, a long-term development framework, and contributed to the Combined Transition Plan that underpins the current administration’s policy direction. Earlier in her career, she worked as a Business Analyst at IHS Towers and as an Equity Research Analyst at Meristem Securities Limited.
Nnake holds a Master of Business Administration from Lagos Business School, where she received the Beta Gamma Sigma lifetime recognition for academic excellence, and a First-Class degree in Accounting from Benson Idahosa University. She is a member of the ACCA National Advisory Committee, has passed Level I of the Chartered Financial Analyst programme, and has completed executive training at the Harvard Kennedy School. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Public Policy.
She is 39 years old, married, and has three children.
