By George Ozalla

The President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has celebrated the 62nd birthday of the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, commending his leadership style and the growing impact of his administration’s ARISE Agenda.
The message was conveyed in a congratulatory statement signed by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Senate President, Rt Hon Eseme Eyiboh, in which Akpabio described the governor as a leader who reflects both the grace of God and the quiet strength of purposeful governance.
In the message, Akpabio noted that Governor Eno’s ARISE Agenda has moved beyond policy articulation to visible outcomes, particularly in agriculture, rural development, infrastructure, security and social empowerment. He said the initiatives have translated into renewed hope for residents of the state and delivered measurable dividends of democracy.
He stated that at 62, the governor has continued to demonstrate a steady and people-focused leadership approach, marked by deliberate efforts to unify the political space in the state. Akpabio commended Eno’s inclusive style of governance, noting that his administration accommodates diverse interests across party lines and has helped lower political tension while strengthening unity.
The Senate President further observed that under Eno’s leadership, Akwa Ibom has maintained steady progress across key sectors, including road infrastructure, healthcare delivery, support for small and medium enterprises and human capital development. He added that the governor is building on existing foundations while steering the state toward a more compassionate and development-driven future.
Akpabio also offered prayers for the governor, wishing him sound health, greater wisdom and continued strength in service, expressing confidence that the state will sustain its development trajectory under his leadership as he marks the new age.
