The All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated one of its founding members and Delta State Commissioner for Finance, Chief Sir Fidelis Okenmor Chukuyenum Tilije, on the occasion of his 68th birthday anniversary.
In a statement issued by the Director of Publicity of the APC, Bala Ibrahim, the party described Chief Tilije as an accomplished banker, technocrat and public servant whose career has continued to reflect excellence, discipline and commitment to service.
Chief Tilije, a graduate of the University of Lagos, holds a master’s degree in Corporate Finance and has also undertaken advanced executive training at Harvard Business School and Oxford Business School, alongside other top global institutions.
He has built a solid professional background in Nigeria’s financial sector, with memberships in several professional bodies including the Chartered Institute of Bankers, the Chartered Institute of Marketing of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers.
According to Bala Ibrahim, Chief Tilije’s service in government has remained significant, first under former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and currently under Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, where he has continued to play a key role in driving the state’s M.O.R.E Agenda, particularly in the areas of fiscal discipline, infrastructure development and inclusive economic growth.
The party further noted that his contributions have remained visible in the development of Delta State and the advancement of the Ndokwa nation, describing him as a consistent figure in public finance and governance.
The APC wished him good health, longevity and continued service to the state and the nation.
