The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate for Anambra Central Senatorial District in the 2027 general election, Hon. Ferdinand Dozie Nwankwo, popularly known as Onyendozi, has congratulated the management and pioneer students of Regina Caeli College of Nursing Sciences, Awka, on the official opening of the institution and its maiden matriculation ceremony.
According to a statement by FDN Media, Nwankwo, who was represented at the event by the Executive Chairman of Anaocha Local Government Area, Hon. Rome Ibekwe, popularly known as Ezeugo Neni, urged the matriculating students to remain focused, resilient and diligent in their academic pursuit.
He encouraged the students to persevere in their studies, stressing that discipline, hard work and commitment remain the pillars of academic excellence and professional success. He further stated that the nursing profession requires compassion, integrity and dedication, urging the pioneer students to embrace those values throughout their training.
Nwankwo also reaffirmed his commitment to supporting institutions and initiatives that promote quality education and healthcare delivery in Anambra State. He added that investment in education and healthcare remains critical to the development of any society and assured stakeholders of his continued support for programmes that enhance human capital development.
The Chief Host of the event, Most Rev. Paulinus Chukwuemeka Ezeokafor, Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, charged the students to take their education seriously, emphasizing that education remains the foundation for personal success and societal development. He further urged them to uphold the values of discipline, excellence and service as they prepare for careers in the healthcare sector.
In his remarks, the College Administrator, Rev. Fr. Johnpaul Chukwuelobe, expressed appreciation to Nwankwo for his support, solidarity and contributions toward the establishment of the college. He further stated that the encouragement received from the APGA senatorial candidate reflected his interest in the advancement of education and healthcare in the state.
The statement added that the official opening and maiden matriculation ceremony, held at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Awka, attracted clergy, government officials, education stakeholders, parents and other dignitaries from across Awka Diocese and beyond.
Nwankwo, who represented Anaocha, Njikoka and Dunukofia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, is seeking to represent Anambra Central Senatorial District in the Senate on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance in the 2027 general election.
