The All Progressives Congress (APC) has celebrated its National Chairman, Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, on his 58th birthday, commending his leadership, dedication and contributions to the growth and strengthening of the ruling party.
In a congratulatory message issued by the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), the APC described Yilwatda’s tenure as one marked by reforms, inclusiveness and sustained efforts to strengthen the party’s structures and deepen its organisation across the country.
The party noted that under his leadership, the APC had recorded significant milestones, including the implementation of its electronic membership registration exercise and the expansion of its membership base. It said the initiatives had helped improve the party’s internal organisation and consolidate its position as one of the country’s dominant political platforms.
The statement further added that the national chairman had demonstrated commitment to building a stronger and more cohesive party by encouraging greater participation among members and working to strengthen the structures through which the party operates at the national, state and grassroots levels.
According to the APC, Yilwatda has also played a key role in promoting internal cohesion and enhancing the party’s institutional capacity, while positioning it to face future electoral contests with greater confidence and stronger organisational structures.
The ruling party further stated that the chairman’s leadership aligns with the administration’s governance agenda, stressing that his efforts have contributed to advancing democratic values, strengthening party organisation and sustaining the APC’s role as the platform through which the government’s policies and programmes are communicated to party members and supporters.
The APC said Yilwatda’s experience, commitment and understanding of party administration had continued to serve the organisation at a critical period, particularly as the party works to consolidate its structures and prepare for future political activities.
The party expressed appreciation for the national chairman’s service and dedication, describing his birthday as an occasion to acknowledge his contributions to the development of the APC and to wish him well in his continued service to the party.
It offered prayers for continued good health, wisdom, strength and success as Yilwatda leads the party in the years ahead, while wishing him many more years of fulfilment and service.
