By Ndudirim Sylvia Iloka

A strong coalition of stakeholders from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Taraba State on Wednesday gathered at Treasure Suites to officially submit the expression of interest and nomination forms of Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas, in what observers described as a major show of political solidarity ahead of the party’s internal race.

The delegation was led by Senator Haruna Mamu, who told journalists after the submission that the exercise reflected a united endorsement of the governor by influential figures within the party.
According to him, the gathering brought together nearly all major APC stakeholders in the state, underscoring broad support for Governor Kefas’ continued leadership.
“We are here for one purpose; to submit the expression of interest and nomination forms of Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas. The presence of key party leaders from across Taraba State speaks volumes about the unity within our party,” he said.

Among those present were Senator Shaibu, Senator Jim Kuta, members of the House of Representatives, the Speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly, local government chairmen, and several prominent political figures from different parts of the state.
Senator Haruna described the submission as a symbolic step toward victory, expressing confidence in the governor’s growing acceptance among party members and supporters.
“This is more than just submitting forms; it represents our collective confidence in a winning candidate,” he stated.

He added that the impressive turnout of party leaders and stakeholders demonstrated widespread grassroots and elite backing for the governor’s ambition.
“The level of support we are witnessing clearly shows that Governor Kefas enjoys strong acceptance across the state. It also signals the confidence many people have in his leadership and vision,” he added.
Haruna further noted that the unity displayed by APC stakeholders reflected their shared belief in Kefas’ ability to continue leading the state effectively.
“This solidarity is a clear indication that party members believe he remains the right person to move Taraba State forward,” he concluded.
