The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on Tuesday June 23rd 2026, inaugurated the National Secretariat of the Tinubu Torch Bearers (TTB) in Asokoro, Abuja, marking a significant step in efforts to strengthen grassroots engagement with the policies and programmes of the Renewed Hope Administration.
The First Lady was represented at the event by the Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim. The inauguration was convened by the APC National Woman Leader, Dr. Mary Alile-Idele.
Speaking at the ceremony, stakeholders highlighted the role of the Tinubu Torch Bearers as a nationwide grassroots mobilization platform dedicated to promoting awareness and understanding of government initiatives. The platform is designed to bridge the gap between policy implementation and public perception by ensuring that citizens at the community level are informed about the impact and benefits of programmes under the Renewed Hope agenda.
The commissioning of the secretariat is expected to enhance the organization’s outreach efforts and deepen public engagement across the country as it seeks to communicate the administration’s achievements and foster greater citizen participation in national development.
