Distinguished Senator (Dr) Tony O. Nwoye

Support has continued to build for the re-election of the Senator representing Anambra North Senatorial District, Senator Dr. Tony Okechukwu Nwoye, ahead of the 2027 general election, with his supporters urging the electorate to renew his mandate based on what they described as his track record of effective representation, accessibility and commitment to public service.
The call was made by DTN Media Teams in a statement, which urged voters across the senatorial district to place greater emphasis on performance, experience and integrity in choosing their next representative at the National Assembly.
According to the group, the 2027 election presents another opportunity for the people of Anambra North to determine the future of the district by electing a senator capable of sustaining quality representation and advancing the interests of the constituency.
The statement described Senator Nwoye as one of the most visible and accessible representatives the district has produced in recent years, noting that his experience as a medical doctor, former member of the House of Representatives and serving senator has provided him with the legislative competence required to effectively champion the aspirations of the people.
It further stated that Nwoye’s political journey, from his days as President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) to his current position in the Senate, reflects a consistent commitment to grassroots leadership and public service.
The group argued that leadership should be assessed not by political rhetoric but by demonstrated commitment, courage, accessibility and the capacity to defend the interests of constituents.
It therefore urged voters to critically evaluate all aspirants by considering who possesses the experience to continue protecting the interests of Anambra North, who best understands the developmental challenges confronting the district, who has consistently spoken on behalf of the people and who is best positioned to consolidate on existing achievements.
According to the statement, many residents and supporters believe Senator Nwoye remains the most qualified candidate to continue representing the district in the Red Chamber.
The supporters cautioned against campaigns anchored on propaganda, bitterness and personal attacks, insisting that democratic contests should be driven by issues, performance and informed public judgment.
They further encouraged eligible voters to carefully examine the records of all candidates before making their choice at the polls, maintaining that if the people conclude that Senator Tony Okechukwu Nwoye remains the best candidate after such an assessment, they should entrust him with another mandate to continue his legislative responsibilities.
The statement also called on political actors and the electorate to uphold peaceful, issue-based campaigns and responsible participation in the democratic process as the 2027 elections draw closer.
