The Elumelu family has continued its tradition of faith-based philanthropy with a fresh donation of ₦100 million to two major church bodies in Delta State as part of its five-year commitment to supporting religious and community development initiatives.
The family donated ₦50 million each to the Anglican Diocese of Asaba and the Catholic Diocese of Isele-Uku, reaffirming its commitment to giving back to the church and supporting activities that positively impact the lives of people within the communities.
The annual donation, which amounts to ₦100 million, is described by the family as an expression of gratitude to God for His continued blessings, goodness and faithfulness over the years.
The initiative, which commenced in previous years, involves the donation of ₦50 million annually to each of the two dioceses over a five-year period. The programme has become a significant part of the family’s philanthropic activities, with the funds supporting church projects, humanitarian interventions and development programmes.
Beyond financial assistance, the gesture reflects the family’s belief in the role of religious institutions in promoting moral values, social responsibility and community welfare. Members of the family said the donation represents an act of thanksgiving and a commitment to contributing to the growth and sustainability of the church.
The latest donation is part of the series of support provided by the Elumelu family to the two dioceses under the five-year programme, which continues to fund various church activities and projects.
