The singular honour of being identified by a royal institution as both a trusted adviser and a custodian of communal conscience is reserved for men whose service has earned the confidence of their people through years of visible sacrifice and responsibility. That distinction has been accorded to High Chief Martin Nwabueze, Agubuzo na Dunukofia, following sustained humanitarian service and community engagement.
In recognition of his contributions to human welfare and grassroots development, the Royal Majesty of Ifitedunu, Igwe Dr Emeka Ilouno, Eze Dunu II, in Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra State, conferred on High Chief Nwabueze a double honour. In a letter personally signed by the monarch, he was appointed Special Adviser to the King and named a Special Member of the Royal Cabinet of Ifitedunu Community.
The honours were granted in acknowledgement of the work he has carried out through the Ichie Akubudike Foundation, which has supported the less privileged, strengthened community initiatives and promoted social responsibility within Ifitedunu and other parts of Dunukofia. His interventions have been marked by consistency, restraint and a focus on real needs at the community level.
The palace noted that the appointments reflect confidence in his character, judgment and sense of duty, as well as his capacity to contribute meaningfully to traditional governance and the collective interests of the town.
The formal investiture is scheduled to take place during the Ifitedunu Ofala Festival on December 29, 2025, where High Chief Martin Nwabueze will be officially inducted into his advisory and cabinet roles before the throne and the people.
