On Thursday, 20th. July 2023 during the Passing-Out ceremony of Course 9 detective cadets at the EFCC Academy, Karu, Abuja; the Acting Chairman of the Economic And Financial Crimes Commission EFCC; Mr Abdulkarim Chukkol charged the new graduands to live above aboard in the discharge of their respective duties by following all the laid down rules and procedures, eschew corruption, acquaint themselves with the staff regulations and all other policies manuals of the Commission.
Mr Chukkol further highlighted that the cadets’ Passing-Out ceremony to join the ranks of the Commission was coming at a time when the Commission had already commenced consolidation on the efforts of several years of battling corruption and all forms of economic and financial crimes.
In the same vein, the Secretary of the Commission Mr George Ekpungu admonished the graduating cadets to serve with honesty and integrity while upholding the over all interest of the nation at heart.
Highlight of the colorful event was the presentation of awards to outstanding cadets. Best graduating cadet award was received by Ikotun Sola, while the 1st. runner-up award went to Babalola Mary, and the 2nd. runner-up was Olarere Abiodun.
Other Awardees include- Yusuf Mohammed Fawal as the best rifles Award; best female max riffles Award went to Atele Igyatwen, Hauwa Mohammed clinched Best Women Pistol.
The colorful ceremony was graciously attended by invited guests comprising of families, friends, associates of the graduands, officials of the Commission as well as gentlemen of the press.
