President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday inaugurated Roads B6, B12, and Circle Road in the Central Business District of Abuja completed by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike as part of projects commissioned to mark the first year of the administration. Roads B6 (Constitution) and B12 (Independence Avenue) are located in the Central Business District, Abuja within the Phase 1 of the City which houses the 3-Arms, Cultural and Diplomatic Zones as well as Ministries, State Liaison offices and Corporate and Commercial offices. President Tinubu who was represented by the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio said the new roads stood as testaments to his administration commitment to infrastructural development and urban renewal of the Federal Capital Territory. According to President Tinubu, “When I assumed office one year ago, my administration set forth an ambitious agenda to transform our nation’s infrastructural landscape. We recognized that efficient transport networks are vital for economic growth, social integration and overall national development. “Today as we commission these strategic roads, we are not just opening pathways of asphalt and concrete, but also paving the way for enhanced economic activities, improved accessibility, and a higher quality of life for our citizens. “The completion of these roads is a demonstration of what we can achieve through dedicated planning, unwavering commitment, and collaborative efforts. These roads are designed to alleviate traffic congestion, reduce travel time, and provide a more seamless connection between key areas within our capital city,” he said. President Tinubu commended the FCT Minister, Barrister Wike and his team at the FCTA for their hardwork and dedication which have made the commissioning of new projects in Abuja possible. “As we celebrate, let us also recognize that our work is far from being over. As a testament to our Renewed Hope Agenda, we remain committed to continuing this journey of building more roads, bridges, and essential infrastructure that will connect our people and drive our economy,” he said. The FCT Minister, Wike thanked President Tinubu for his support in seeing to the completion of the projects which were first awarded in 2007. He said the FCT Administration will work to support the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Tinubu administration.
