Dr. Regina Omo-Agege Celebrates 70th. Birthday

It was a glorious moment of great joy and beautiful testimonies as family members, relations, friends, associates, dignitaries and well wishers of Pastor Regina Omo-Agege, PhD gathered in her honour to mark her 70th birthday in grand style at the prestigious Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja on Monday, June 10th. 2024.
The colorful event which comprised of diverse rich entertainments, glitz and glamour was a sort of medium for introspection and reflections on the life of the celebrant who has touched so many lives!
Pastor Regina Omo-Agege PhD, who is the Executive Director, Women Education Advocacy and Development Initiatives (WEADI) and former Director of the Political Parties and Liaison Office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has been a shining light, trail blazer and beacon of hope to so many young people, particularly in the area of empowerment of women and promotion of education, a woman of valour, resilience, and exemplary leadership throughout her illustrious career.
She has made a lot of impactful progress through WEADI on countless lives and still counting!

Earlier, during the occassion various goodwill messages were delivered by some family members, relations, friends, associates, alumni and other esteemed guests- all testifying to Pastor Regina’s selfless commitment in putting smiles on faces of people, her hard work, resilience and above all: her love for God and humanity alike.

Earlier on, the immediate past Deputy President of the Senate: Senator Ovie Omo-Agege felicitated with his sister whom he eulogized with well crafted statement: “as you clock 70, our joyful and loud testimony is that God has been undeniably good to you in your continuous journey of life.
In the well-documented exemplary order of our great father, a great many recognize, appreciate and speak glowingly of your immense and honorable contributions towards the greater good of our country. Selfless in spirit, you always give of your blessed self and substance to lift our family, friends and society.
Today and always, my fervent prayer is that God who has led you this far as your Stone of Help will always abide with you and strengthen you as you continue your beautiful journey of life. It shall always be well with you”, Senator Omo-Agege further stated.

In the same vein Mr Jimmy Omo-Agege described her sister as an extraordinary human being, she is just an amazing personality, selfless and she can give all she has to make you happy, she has been there for all her siblings, friends, those in need, she is the pillar of our family, mother to all, fantastic human being. I thought she was even my real Mom until I was like four or five years old because I was always with her. She is a disciplinarian, she pampered me and she is also a disciplinarian at the same time, she’s in-between, stating further Mr Jimmy Omo-Agege wished for her sister thus: well like the bible says three scores and one ten is what God has said is the minimum of what God has always said for us to live on earth so I wish her to live more, may be another 20 years, 90 in good health or more, he concluded by
asking rhetorically what more can I wish her? She has achieved everything in life”.

Some of the dignitaries that graced the occasion were Sen. Ede Dafinone, Sen. Joel Onohwakpo, Dr. Austin Odili, Hon.Jennifer Oguzie, Mr.Jeffrey Ekama, Hon. Gabriel Itietie, Chief Francis Atanomeyovwi, Mr Chiedu Ebie, top INEC officials, among other top government functionaries and captains of industry.

Some of the major highlights of the occassion were the launch of a book authored by the celebrant, celebrant’s dance, presentation of birthday gifts by various individuals and groups, cultural dance and group photographs.
