HON. UCHENNA HARRIS OKONKWO ATTENDS INDONESIA-AFRICA 2024 PARLIAMENTARY FORUM

The member representing Idemili North and South Federal Constituency, Hon. Harris Okonkwo, attended the Indonesia-Africa 2024 Parliamentary Forum (IPAF) in Bali, Indonesia. The event aimed to foster collaborations, partnerships, and mutual development between Indonesia and other African countries.

The summit, themed “Forging Indonesia-Africa Parliamentary Partnership for Development,” was held in Bali, Indonesia, and had Honourable Okonkwo, representing the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Nigeria, Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, and 22 other African nations in attendance.

Addressing newsmen, Hon. Okonkwo stressed the need for continuous engagement with counterparts from various African countries and Indonesia to foster international relations and other areas of interest that can lead to sustainable development benefiting Africa and Indonesia. He also called for the implementation of legislative policies among parliamentarians to strengthen partnerships between other African countries and Indonesia.

The Indonesia-Africa Parliamentary Forum provided a platform for attendees to share insights, address common challenges, and identify areas for collaboration between two or more countries. The summit strengthened international partnerships between Nigeria, Indonesia, and other African countries, which will undoubtedly contribute to Nigeria’s growth, development, and prosperity in the near future.
