Sam Hart Takes Helm as Kalu’s Chief of Staff

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, has made a strategic appointment aimed at enhancing the legislative process. Mr. Sam Ifeanyi Hart, a distinguished lawyer with a strong background in public service, has been appointed as Kalu’s new Chief of Staff (CoS).

Hart’s appointment is expected to bring a wealth of expertise to the Deputy Speaker’s office. His experience as a lawyer, coupled with his tenure as Director-General of the Abia State Marketing and Quality Management Agency from 2019 to 2023 amongst other key positions he has held before now, makes him an ideal candidate for the position.

As a seasoned professional, Hart has attended prestigious institutions, including the GOTNI Leadership Centre and the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPPS). He is also a member of several professional bodies, including the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and the Chartered Institute of Directors of Nigeria (M.IoD).

With Hart at the helm as Chief of Staff, expectations are high that he will provide expert guidance and support to the Deputy Speaker’s legislative initiatives. His appointment is seen as a significant boost to the legislative process, and many anticipate that he will make a positive impact in his new role.
