The Nigeria Police Force has successfully extradited Benjamin Best Nnayereugo, alias “Killaboi,” from Doha, Qatar to Nigeria to face charges for the murder of Miss Augusta Oseodion Onuwabhagbe, a 21-year-old student of Lead City University, Ibadan.
According to the police, Nnayereugo murdered Onuwabhagbe at his residence in Lagos on July 13, 2023, and later fled the country, releasing a video online purporting to confess to the crime in an attempt to derail investigations.
After being declared wanted by the NPF Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department, an INTERPOL Red Notice was issued, leading to his arrest in Qatar in February 2025. The Qatari authorities approved an official extradition request, and Nnayereugo was repatriated to Nigeria on April 19, 2025.
Inspector-General of Police Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun commended the collaboration between INTERPOL NCB Abuja, the Qatari authorities, and the Nigerian Embassy in Qatar, and assured the public of diligent prosecution.
The police assured the family of the deceased and the general public of justice in the case.
