“Serve to Be Great”: Frank Tietie Calls for Selfless Leadership in Nigeria

By George Ozalla

A passionate plea has been made by Frank Tietie, Esq. for Nigerians to shift their focus from personal gain to serving the greater good. According to Tietie, Nigeria’s progress is hindered by individuals prioritizing self-interest over the country’s development.

“Nigeria will not reach its full potential as long as everyone—public servants, business leaders, religious figures, and those in non-profit organizations—focus solely on exploiting the country and its people for personal gain,” Tietie stated.

He emphasized the need for a committed group of individuals willing to sacrifice, show love, and contribute positively to the country’s development. Tietie drew inspiration from his Christian worldview, highlighting the paradoxes of life that lead to fulfillment and greatness.

“To be great, serve; To receive, give; To multiply, use,” Tietie quoted, underscoring universal laws that apply to individuals and nations. He urged Nigerians to prioritize the good they do today, which can have a lasting impact beyond their time.

“We can indeed build a better tomorrow for ourselves, our children, and for the world to witness,” Tietie concluded, offering a message of hope and collective responsibility for Nigeria’s future.
