Kano Gov’s Aide Decamps to APC, Pays Courtesy Visit to DSP Barau

Bala Says it’s a Welcome Development

An aide to the Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, and some of his other loyalists who recently defected from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), in a significant development paid a courtesy visit to Senator Barau Jibrin, the Deputy Senate President, at his office in the National Assembly last week with his supporters.

The aide, Alhaji Aminu Sani, was warmly received by Senator Barau, who expressed delight at the decision to join the APC. The meeting was seen as a boost to the party’s growing strength in Kano State and a testament to Senator Barau’s influence in the region.

During the visit, Alhaji Sani congratulated Senator Barau on his leadership role in the Senate and pledged support for the APC’s initiatives in Kano State. He cited the APC’s track record of good governance and effective leadership as reasons for his decision to defect.

The Honorable Member representing Gwarzo/Kabo Federal Constituency, Honorable Gwarzo Mu’azu Abdullahi represented by one of his Legislative Aides: Danlami Bala who spoke to newsmen expressed delight at the massive turn out of new members that came pay solidarity visit to the Deputy Senate President, Barau and described it as a welcome development which his principal he represented equally aligned with. Bala further thanked them and wish them happy stay the progressive party.

The defection and visit are seen as a significant gain for the APC, which has been strengthening its presence in Kano State. Senator Barau’s efforts in reaching out to various groups and individuals have been instrumental in the party’s growth in the region.
