“ADC Unites Opposition Parties for 2027: A New Chapter for Nigeria’s Politics”

..decision was not made lightly- Obi

By George Ozalla

A coalition of opposition parties has formally adopted the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as their platform for the 2027 Nigeria General Elections. The party’s leadership team, comprising Distinguished Senator David Mark as National Chairman and H.E. Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola as National Secretary, was formally inaugurated yesterday.

According to Obi, the decision to adopt ADC was not made lightly, but rather after deep reflection on the country’s current state and the need for collective action to move forward. “No one group can change Nigeria alone,” Obi emphasized, highlighting the importance of building bridges and working together to dismantle structures that perpetuate poverty and insecurity.

The coalition’s commitment is to work towards securing a competent, capable, and compassionate leadership that prioritizes the welfare of Nigerians. As Obi noted, “To dismantle the structures that keep our people in poverty and insecurity, we must build bridges, not walls, even when those bridges are uneasy.” This new development sets the stage for a potentially significant shift in Nigeria’s political landscape as the country gears up for the 2027 general elections.
