The Anambra North Senatorial District has endorsed the governorship bid of Evangelist Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), ahead of the November 8, 2025 election in Anambra State.
No fewer than 500 supporters, drawn from different political parties, converged on Ukachukwu’s campaign office in Awka on Thursday to pledge their loyalty. The group also constituted a five-man committee that will join his campaign council at the grassroots, assuring him of mobilizing votes in his favour.

Spokesperson of the delegation, Hon. Joseph Madubueze, described Ukachukwu as “a Daniel who has come to judgment,” stressing that the people of the senatorial district had unanimously agreed to support the APC candidate and his running mate, Senator Iyom Uche Ekwunife. He argued that only the APC has the link with the centre that can ensure a resounding transformation of the state.
Other leaders, including Emeka Ezejimofor from Ward 5, Fegge Onitsha; Nkechi Okosi from Ward 4, Onitsha North; and Joy Ukwu of Odakpu Ward 3, said their mission was to identify with the Ikukuoma campaign structure and work towards delivering victory for Ukachukwu.
In his response, Ukachukwu expressed appreciation for the endorsement and urged them to intensify grassroots mobilization. He promised that his administration would prioritize empowerment through agricultural loans and other initiatives if elected, assuring that he would not betray their trust.
The Anambra governorship election will hold on November 8, 2025. It is an off-cycle poll, occasioned by the Supreme Court’s decision that truncated the tenure of former Governor Andy Uba in 2007, thereby altering the state’s electoral timetable from the national cycle.
