Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has expressed profound sadness over the tragic death of Somtochukwu Christelle Maduagwu, a journalist and anchor with Arise Television.
Soludo described the passing of the young broadcaster as a monumental loss not only to her family and the media industry but also to society at large, where her voice and contributions left a meaningful impact.
According to a press release signed by his Press Secretary, Mr. Chris Aburime, the Governor noted that Somtochukwu’s professionalism, intelligence, and dedication to journalism distinguished her as one of the shining lights of her generation.
He commiserated with her family, the management and staff of Arise TV, and the entire media community, while praying for the peaceful repose of her soul and for God to grant her loved ones the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
