The League of Anambra Journalists in Abuja has congratulated the Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, on his sweeping 21 over 21 victory in the just concluded governorship election. According to a press statement signed by Interim President, Ambassador Ikenna Okonkwo, and Interim Secretary, Princess-Ekwi Ajide, the group described the result as a strong reaffirmation of public trust in the Governor’s leadership and ongoing reforms.
The group said the outcome of the poll shows clear approval of the administration’s development efforts and its commitment to building a liveable and prosperous state. It noted that Governor Soludo’s victory represents an endorsement of competence, continuity, and purposeful governance by Ndi Anambra, who, it stated, demonstrated unity and political maturity throughout the electoral process.
LAJA commended the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, security agencies, election observers, and other stakeholders for what it called a peaceful and credible election that reflected the will of the people. It urged Governor Soludo to approach the fresh mandate as an opportunity to deepen reforms and consolidate growth across key sectors for the benefit of residents.
The statement added that the organisation stands ready to support initiatives that advance the collective aspirations of the state. The League of Anambra Journalists in Abuja is a coalition of media professionals committed to promoting credible reporting and supporting the development of Anambra State.
