President Bola Tinubu on Monday received former Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Musa at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. The retired military chief arrived the State House in the evening and was ushered into the President’s office for a private meeting.

It was General Musa’s first known visit to the Villa since he concluded his tenure on October 24. The Presidency did not disclose the purpose of the meeting, but it comes at a time when security agencies are adjusting to new leadership and responding to emerging challenges in parts of the country.

General Musa served as the nation’s highest-ranking military officer before his retirement, overseeing counterinsurgency and national security operations across several theatres.
