Residents of Tobis Maryland Estate 33 in Nkwelle Ezunaka, Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State, have commended the reconstruction of their internal access road by Senator Dr Tony Nwoye, describing it as a major relief to a long-standing infrastructural challenge within the community.
The estate, one of the most densely populated areas in the local government, had for years lacked a functional internal road network, leaving residents to contend with dust, poor accessibility and difficult movement to homes and workplaces. According to DTN Media Center, the newly reconstructed road has transformed the area, replacing the previously dilapidated route with a modern, motorable access road that now serves residents with ease.
The project forms part of a broader pattern of interventions by Senator Nwoye across Anambra North, which include town hall engagements, empowerment programmes, and the installation of solar-powered streetlights across political wards in the zone. The Tobi’s Maryland Estate road, which had been abandoned to decay for years, was reconstructed to modern standards, drawing excitement and appreciation from residents of the estate.
While handing over the project to the community, Senator Nwoye assured the people of Anambra North that more infrastructure projects would be delivered within the coming months. He disclosed that between the end of January and April 2026, several communities across the senatorial district would benefit from new road construction, classroom blocks, primary healthcare canters and additional solar-powered streetlights.
The Tobis Maryland Estate road project adds to ongoing efforts aimed at improving living conditions and connectivity within Anambra North, as residents continue to call for sustained investment in grassroots infrastructure across the district.
