By George Ozalla

The League of Anambra Journalists in Abuja (LAJA) has congratulated Charles Chukwuma Soludo on the commencement of his second tenure as Governor of Anambra State, describing his re-election as a renewed mandate anchored on performance, vision and public trust.
In a statement signed by its President, Ikenna Okonkwo, and Secretary, Princess-Ekwi Ajide, the association said the governor’s return to office reflects the confidence of Ndi Anambra in his leadership and the visible impact of his administration across key sectors during his first term.

The group highlighted achievements of the Soludo administration in infrastructure development, particularly road construction and urban renewal projects, noting that these have improved connectivity and stimulated economic activities across the state.
LAJA also commended the government’s approach to security, which it said has helped restore public confidence and created a more conducive environment for residents and investors. It noted that community-driven strategies and coordinated responses have played a role in stabilising the state.
The association further acknowledged the administration’s efforts in advancing a digital economy through investments in technology, innovation hubs and youth-focused initiatives, positioning Anambra within Nigeria’s evolving economic landscape.
In the education sector, the group pointed to ongoing reforms and interventions aimed at strengthening human capital development and preparing young people for future opportunities.
While applauding the administration’s performance, LAJA said the second tenure offers an opportunity to consolidate on existing gains and accelerate development. It called for sustained efforts in job creation, industrialisation and support for small and medium-scale enterprises to ensure inclusive growth.
The association also urged the governor to strengthen the state’s security architecture, deepen citizen engagement and sustain reforms that directly impact the welfare of the people.
LAJA expressed confidence in the governor’s experience and policy direction to further position Anambra as a hub for innovation, investment and sustainable development.
