The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced a fresh adjustment to its schedule for the 2027 general elections, extending deadlines for aspirants and revising key screening dates.
In a press statement released on Monday, the ruling party confirmed that the sale and submission of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms will now continue beyond the previously announced timeline. The move is aimed at accommodating more aspirants and ensuring a smoother internal process ahead of the elections.
According to the new schedule, the sale of forms has been extended to midnight on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, while the submission deadline is now set for midnight on Thursday, May 7, 2026.
The party also rescheduled its screening exercise, which will now take place from Friday, May 8, through Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Following the screenings, the official list of cleared aspirants is expected to be published on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.
The APC stated that the adjustments are part of efforts to ensure transparency, inclusiveness, and proper coordination in its preparations for the upcoming elections.
