Hon. Ferdinand Dozie Nwankwo, popularly known as Onye Ndozi, has received his Certificate of Return as the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate for Anambra Central Senatorial District, formally setting the stage for his participation in the forthcoming senatorial election.
The certificate was presented at the APGA Regional Office in Awka during a gathering attended by party officials, supporters and candidates who emerged from the party’s primary elections.
Nwankwo, a former member of the House of Representatives, emerged as the party’s flagbearer after securing victory in the APGA primary conducted last month.
Speaking shortly after receiving the certificate, he expressed appreciation to the party leadership and delegates for entrusting him with the mandate to fly APGA’s flag in the contest for the Anambra Central Senate seat.
He said the confidence reposed in him would serve as a motivation to work harder for the people of the district, adding that the task ahead was not merely about winning an election but about providing effective representation and delivering tangible results.
Nwankwo further stated that Anambra Central deserves a strong voice in the National Assembly and pledged to place the interests of the people above every other consideration if elected.
He maintained that his focus would remain on quality representation, good governance and legislative service that responds to the needs and aspirations of constituents across the district.
According to him, the people of Anambra Central are looking forward to representation that is accessible, accountable and capable of attracting opportunities and development to communities within the zone.
The occasion also witnessed the presentation of Certificates of Return to several APGA candidates seeking election into the Anambra State House of Assembly from constituencies within Anambra Central Senatorial District.
The atmosphere at the party office was celebratory as supporters and party faithful congratulated the successful candidates and expressed optimism about APGA’s prospects in the coming elections.
